GREEN SCHOOL COMMITTEE

Our Green School Committee are doing great work in our school.

Slogan: Keep it clean, make it green, Save energy and water, get to school in a Green way create habitats and make our dream of a “greener” future real!

Ethos: Remember when we work together and act as a team we will achieve our goal of becoming a greener school.

Objectives:

· Keep our schoolyard litter free by using the bins available.

· Recycle as much as possible, think before we throw things away.

· Reduce and re-use where the amount of paper we use in school and wrappings we bring our lunch in.

· Tell our family and friends about the benefits for everyone in recycling.

· Switch off lights when you leave the room.

· Unplug all electrical equipment when not in use.

· Close doors behind you.

· Remember to save energy at home too.

· Turn off taps when not using.

· Conserve use of water where possible.

· Get to school in a Green Way – WOW DAY, Park n’Stride, Bus, Carpool or Cycle.

· Be aware of Biodiversity and create habitats.
